Meditate with Mandalas

Mandalas are mostly used in the Hindu and Buddhist religions, but I find them to be helpful for Christians as well. The detailed circular images are used to focus oneself and aid in the art of meditation. I encourage you to print off some of your favorite mandala patterns and color them in. Focus on your breathing, relax your body and enjoy the symmetry and repetition. I often use the colors I choose to usher me into the presence of God. Yellow reminding me of the hope He gives. Green representing my growth and life in Him. When I color with purple of think of the robe Jesus will be wearing when He comes again. Allow the Spirit to lead your thoughts and hand.

Take 10 minutes a day for the next 7 days and use mandalas to help you meditate on God. May you learn the Creator’s beauty and creativity in the simple shapes and colors you encounter.
